Kitchen's footprint will be expanded to incorporate adjacent breakfast and dining rooms. Present living room will become new dining room to accommodate a 96"-long table. Present family room will suffice for all salon duties.
Short term goal is to step-by-step remove and replace all existing kitchen cabinets and appliances. Some new appliances will first be placed where existing ones reside, awaiting preparation of their final position.
June/27/2010: End of Week 1
Accomplished this week:
-Removed old oven cabinet and furdown. As a temporary measure, drywalled adjacent rangetop cabinet's now-opened furdown. Will later remove and reposition rangetop and its cabinet to a different wall. All furdowns will be eliminated.
-Set in place new Ikea Akurum/Rationell High Cabinet for Double Oven + Drawer and 2 Doors. Cabinet was temporarily positioned where old oven was, and will be reinstalled in ultimate
location when other cabinets are later removed.
